The Counseling Center for Growth and Development at the University of Indianapolis is focused on the mental well-being of the students. The clinicians at the Counseling Center work with students on a variety of issues, including, but not limited to, the topics listed to the right.The counseling center is located on the second floor of the Schwitzer Student Center, suite 210.

Making an Appointment

You may stop by the Counseling Center or call (317) 788-5015 to schedule an appointment. Appointments typically last 50 minutes. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

Business Hours

8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday (when classes are in session). The office will be closed from Noon to 1:00 p.m. Adjusted hours will be posted on the front door to the Counseling Center if the need arises.


The Counseling Center policy on confidentiality follows the ethical guidelines of the American Psychological Association. Information is revealed to no one outside the Health Services staff without the informed consent of the client. The only exceptions to these guidelines occur in specific, life-threatening emergencies.


If a crisis should arise, the Counseling Center staff will do their utmost to assist you in any way possible. The staff will work closely with local psychiatrists and hospitals in situations that require such intervention. If a counselor is not available, please contact one of the following:
