Student Health Center General Information

The Student Health Center (SHC) is on the second floor of Schwitzer Center in Suite 210. This beautiful facility houses both the Student Health Center and the Counseling Center.

The Student Health Center has two full time nurse practitioners (and a part time physician) to see students. The entire staff work together to provide students with confidential and congruent care. All visits and records in the Student Health Center are protected by professional standards of confidentiality.

Who can use the Student Health Center?

Any daytime fulltime student, any student living in campus housing, or any clinical student who has a completed Student Health Record on file can use the services. Anyone else will be given a "referral sheet" with several local places listed for their use.

Student Health Records

The Student Health Record must be complete and on file by your summer registration day. Records are required of: all full time students, students living in campus housing and clinical students. This record gives the nurse practitioners permission to assess the student for illnesses, injuries, emergencies, and medical consultations.

Please note that if the Student Health Record is not turned in or completed by the start of school, you are not eligible to use the services of the Student Health Center. We can assist you in getting the form completed if needed.

Please see section on Student Health Records for more information.
